Welcome to “Puschtra” at Cala Fuili Beach
If you’re looking for a unique climbing spot in Sardinia, the beach Cala Fuili is your go-to spot.
Puschtra is the hardest sector on the beach, with long and overhanging routes. The average grade is 7a+ and the rock is spectacular.
COMPLETELY RE-BOLTED IN TITANIUM!
Born from the passion of pioneers like Heinz and Oviglia, this climbing sector by the sea has been given a new lease on life with a complete titanium re-bolting of its seven overhanging routes in the main cave.
Getting There
Once you reach the beach of Cala Fuili head south (that’s right when facing the sea) and follow a sort of path over the rocks. Puschtra is a cave hiding around the corner. Be careful as the rocks may be humid and slippery
The Climbs
With the recent titanium upgrades, “Puschtra” offers climbers both safety and thrill, especially on the seven spectacular overhangs.
However, please be aware that the four short routes before the main cave have not been rebolted. These old routes are showing their age with rust and wear, so we strongly advise climbers to avoid them.
Best Conditions for Climbing
To get the most out of your climb at “Puschtra”, timing is everything. The rock here can get a bit greasy after humid days or when the Scirocco wind blows, making the sea salt in the air a slippery challenge. For the best grip and an unbeatable experience, aim for a climb on clear, dry days. This way, you’ll avoid the slickness that comes with the sea’s mood and enjoy Sardinia’s climbing at its finest.
The 4 short routes that are before the cave were not re-bolted. Please avoid climbing them
