Araxisi

The climbing sector Araxisi is one of the latest bolted in Samugheo, and is perfect for climbing in autumn and winter. Routes are fairly challenging and even the low grades require cold blood and good control of balancing. It is located by the river, much below the parking space and the castle (Araxisi is, in effect, the name of the river). Sometimes, when the river reaches its maximum level, it may be hard crossing from the lower to the higher part of the crag, but a newly placed fixed rope is of great help. In order to get there walk down the dirt road that leads to the castle and keep walking following direction to the crag.
